Last week, The Governator unveiled the new identity of California’s food stamp program: “CalFresh.” I can honestly say that this is the first time Arnold Schwarzenegger has spoken about a project that I’ve worked on.

For the past 18 months I’ve been collaborating with the team at Yellow Brick Road responsible for this branding initiative. I designed hundreds of iterations of logos for each of the program’s potential names. As we narrowed down the options, versions were tested in focus groups. Even First Lady Shriver weighed in!
This high-profile initiative has gotten a lot of attention. It’s cool to see my design popping up in all corners of the web; I’ve got the first 3 pages of Google Image on lockdown!
