Okayplayer is an online hip-hop music community. The original collective was co-founded by Questlove in 1987. Sam Champ is a Brooklyn-based DJ
and producer.

I designed the album cover for an original Okayplayer mixtape:
D’Angelo Live. In only five days, the album has been downloaded almost 24,000 times. The album will be featured in New York Magazine’s Approval Matrix.

I designed and coded a
custom Tumblr theme for comedian Jonathan Morvay’s website. I created specific styles for displaying the different media content he wanted to include. I implemented Typekit fonts and worked with Jonathan to develop a look and feel that suited his style.

Additionally, I implemented a customized a Twitter feed widget that matched the theme’sdesign.

SD App Project in NYTimes

I’m very excited to share an article in the New York Times about an iPhone app that I worked on at Something Digital. The app is to aid a major NYC law firm–Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom–in their recruiting process.

It features a “game” that teaches potential applicants about the qualities Skadden looks for in new hires, as well as comprehensive information on office locations, the recruitment process, and facts about the firm. It also includes a business card reader that captures contact information from a photograph of a business card.

My role in this project included layout of secondary screens, pre-production tasks for development, testing, and emotional investment(!)
